Developmental Assessments

Young Minds Psychology offers a range of assessment services, which include:

• Cognitive/Intelligence testing (i.e. IQ), academic achievement and specific learning difficulty assessments (e.g. dyslexia assessments).

• Neurodevelopmental assessments, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) assessments

• Emotional and behavioural development assessments (e.g. anxiety)

• Assessments for eligibility of school support purposes or school readiness

Each assessment is tailored towards a young persons unique needs and difficulties. All assessments are aimed at investigating the area of concern in the context of family and educational background. The number of sessions required for an assessment depends on a young persons specific presentation. With parental permission and client consent most assessments involve communication and consultation with school in order to obtain a comprehensive and thorough assessment of needs.
